These Terms govern your use of ChatCapsule, an iPhone app that helps convert WhatsApp chat exports into readable PDF archives.

Use of the app

You may use ChatCapsule to import WhatsApp export files you lawfully have access to and to create PDFs for personal, recordkeeping, or professional use. You are responsible for the files you import, the PDFs you create, and how you store or share those PDFs.

No affiliation with WhatsApp or Meta

ChatCapsule is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by WhatsApp, Meta, or any related company. WhatsApp is a trademark of its respective owner.

No legal or forensic certification

ChatCapsule formats chat exports into readable documents. It does not provide legal advice, court certification, forensic verification, evidence authentication, or a guarantee that a generated PDF will be accepted by any court, agency, employer, platform, or institution. Consult a qualified professional if you need legal, immigration, evidentiary, or compliance advice.

Local processing and generated files

ChatCapsule is designed to process imported chats locally on your device. You are responsible for protecting your device, choosing secure storage locations, using password protection where appropriate, and sharing generated PDFs only with intended recipients.

Purchases and Pro features

ChatCapsule may offer a one-time Pro unlock through Apple in-app purchase. Apple processes App Store payments, refunds, taxes, and billing support under Apple's terms. Pro features may include unlimited exports, premium PDF styles, and full media support.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use ChatCapsule to:

• Import, store, or share content you do not have the right to use
• Harass, threaten, defame, or violate another person's rights
• Misrepresent generated PDFs as certified forensic records
• Reverse engineer, tamper with, or misuse the app or its services

Availability and changes

We may update, improve, suspend, or discontinue parts of ChatCapsule at any time. We aim to keep the app reliable, but we do not guarantee that every export format, media attachment, file size, or device condition will work perfectly.

Disclaimers

ChatCapsule is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ChatCapsule and its developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or lost opportunities arising from your use of the app.
